Transport Coordinator

Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client to recruit a Transport Coordinator who will play a central role in managing day to day transport operations and ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and compliantly.

This is a hands on opportunity for a proactive Transport Coordinator who enjoys leading from the front and keeping operations running smoothly. Working closely with the Transport and Logistics Manager, the Transport Coordinator will oversee planning, driver coordination and compliance while helping maintain high delivery standards across the operation.

The Opportunity:

As a Transport Coordinator you will play a key role in:
 
Planning and coordinating daily and weekly transport schedules to support efficient local and UK wide deliveries
Allocating vehicles and drivers to meet operational requirements while monitoring route performance and utilisation
Ensuring compliance with operator licence regulations, driver hours legislation and tachograph requirements
Leading driver briefings and supporting the team to maintain a strong safety first culture
Working with internal teams to ensure loads are accurate, ready for dispatch and delivered right first time
Your work will directly contribute to safe, compliant and efficient transport operations while maintaining high service standards for customers.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who can bring:
 
Experience working within a transport or logistics environment
Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation, driver hours regulations and operator licence compliance
Experience managing or coordinating drivers within a transport operation
Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
Confidence communicating with drivers, colleagues and stakeholders to resolve operational challenges  The Benefits and Package:
