HGV Class 1 International Driver Hythe, Kent Salary: £42,000 - £46,000 per annum Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for an exciting opportunity to travel throughout the UK and Europe? Our client, based in Hythe , is seeking professional and reliable International HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their growing team. Operating a modern fleet of DAF XF, Volvo FH, Mercedes and Iveco tractor units , you will be responsible for transporting time-critical freight, parts and expedite shipments across the UK and mainland Europe using both right and left-hand drive vehicles .

The Role As an International HGV Class 1 Driver, you will:
Safely operate and maintain HGV Class 1 vehicles. Complete national and international deliveries across the UK and Europe. Transport goods efficiently while meeting delivery schedules. Carry out daily vehicle checks and pre-trip inspections. Load, unload and secure cargo, including curtain-sided and box trailer freight. Ensure all customs, transit and delivery documentation is completed correctly. Maintain accurate driving, delivery and vehicle records.

Adhere to UK and European driver's hours regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers. Report vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly. Main European Destinations Regular routes include:

Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence Digital Tachograph Card Driver CPC Qualification Minimum 1 year's experience in long-distance or international driving Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe Excellent understanding of driver's hours legislation and transport regulations Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and varying schedules Valid Passport Valid Settled Status or Working Visa (if applicable) Desirable:
Experience driving left-hand drive vehicles. Previous international transport experience.
