Loan Servicing Specialist - Mid Office

Position Summary

The Loan Servicing Specialist supports the loan operations team by managing day‑to‑day loan activities across a variety of industries that require special handling and industry knowledge. Responsibilities include ensuring data integrity of loans through onboarding in the core loan system, performing quality reviews of loan documentation, and supporting high‑volume transactions such as fundings, repricing, and payments. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to multitask in a demanding environment are essential.

Candidates should have experience with all loan operation functions while managing multiple workflow systems.

• Manage and directly support a wide‑ranging loan portfolio primarily consisting of commercial loans, including real‑estate, construction, and various business industries.
• Oversee the day‑to‑day workflow delivering superior service to internal client partners.
• Onboard, service, and conduct quality reviews of the loan portfolio.
• Read and interpret credit agreements to ensure all policies and procedures are consistently met.
• Work independently on day‑to‑day tasks utilizing prior experience, knowledge, and continuing education.
• Perform high‑volume transactions, including approving loan activity (fundings, repricing, payments, etc.) in accordance with credit agreements.
• Accurately calculate and track interest and fee accruals at various rate levels.
• Review daily reports to ensure all maintenance, payments, and advances are completed accurately.
• Monitor and, when necessary, escalated past‑due principal, interest, and fees to ensure accuracy.
• Communicate with line‑of‑business partners, managers, and other operations partners regarding loan transactions, research, and exceptions.
• Identify, communicate, and remediate errors promptly.
• Help advance positive change within the team and the organization.
• Foster a collaborative teamwork environment.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 2‑4 years of banking experience.
• 2+ years of experience with FIS (IBS).

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.
• 6+ years of banking experience, preferably in commercial loan operations.

This is a full‑time, non‑exempt position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The position operates in a professional office environment and may require use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
