About Our Atascocita Location (Harris County)Gateway's largest facility, Atascocita is a residential correctional center focused solely on substance use treatment for court‑ordered clients. With 12 buildings and nearly 500 clients, the facility provides a structured, secure environment without armed guards. Staff work collaboratively in a team of 170, including counselors, probation officers, and support staff. The location is undergoing major renovations to become a state‑of‑the‑art treatment center.

Coordinates quality assurance activities for Gateway programs with the goal of evaluating and improving the quality of patient care.
Quality Systems Specialist Responsibilities- Conducts review of client records to monitor and evaluate adequacy and performance measures in accordance with established standards and medical necessity.
- Audits client records and reports to ensure compliance with regulations, contracts, policies and procedures, and standards of care.
- Coordinates with program supervisors and directors to initiate corrective action‑improvement plans.
- Provides quality improvement training and in‑service programs for all levels of clinical staff.
- Monitors site administration and results of client satisfaction surveys. Reviews client satisfaction results and trends with sites and helps identify areas for improvement, including identified benchmarks.
- Facilitates site‑level quality improvement meetings to review monthly audit findings and compliance with Gateway identified quality indicators. Records site‑level meetings or designates a person to record meetings.
- Participates in the site‑level meetings to identify, plan and implement areas for improvement.
- Prepares summary reports and presentations of program activities and results for review and use by management in planning and evaluating quality of services, and process improvement. Participates in analyzing data to identify trends, program strengths and weaknesses, and interpret and explain results. Contributes to developing recommendations to enhance services.
