Production Technician

This role supports a manufacturing operation that produces gaskets, seals, pistons, inserts, and cast components. You will prepare, finish, and handle parts using basic production tools and equipment while maintaining consistent quality and reliability on the shop floor.

• Wash, sandblast, and paint parts with bonding agents according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Prepare parts for finishing by cleaning surfaces and ensuring proper adhesion of bonding materials.
• Trim flashing from finished parts to meet quality and dimensional standards.
• Operate a manual lathe to perform basic machining tasks on metal components, following work instructions and safety protocols.
• Handle repetitive production tasks with care and attention to detail to maintain consistent output and product quality.
• Support general labor tasks such as material handling, basic machine operation, and simple shop duties as needed.
• Inspect parts visually during and after processing to identify defects or irregularities and report issues promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of tools and materials.
• Work cooperatively with team members in a small, closeknit environment to meet daily production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient workflow and safe operations.

• Strong attitude, reliability, and willingness to work consistently in a production environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail, similar to experience in fast food or other high-volume roles.
• Willingness to learn new tasks, tools, and processes with on-the-job training.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality to support a steady 40-hour work schedule.
• Basic comfort working with hands‑on production tasks such as washing, trimming, and general labor.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled and partially outdoor shop environment.

• Experience in a factory, manufacturing, or fast food environment is highly preferred.
• Sandblasting experience is a plus.
• Manual lathe operating experience is a plus.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Experience with general labor, sheet metal, or machine operation is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to stay focused and accurate while performing repetitive tasks.

The role is based in a non-climate-controlled, partially outdoor shop environment, where you will work around production equipment such as sandblasters, manual lathes, and other basic machinery. The schedule typically runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with minimal overtime, providing a predictable daytime shift. The setting is a smaller, close-knit facility that operates like a traditional shop environment, where practical attire suitable for hands‑on production work and adherence to safety guidelines are expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Humble, TX.

The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $14.00/hr.
