As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you will support plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician. Your daily work will involve donor eligibility assessment, monitoring donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory results, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and EHS standards.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions in accordance with SOPs, including medical emergencies and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues and unacceptable donor findings.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
- Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluation by occupational health or ER; follow EHS guidance.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations of pandemic threats within the community.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduates of a recognized nursing program with state licensure requirements.
- Current LPN or LVN license in the assigned state.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- State‑required basic IV therapy training.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Compensationand Benefits Summary
Hourly wage range: $23.85 – $32.79, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. Other benefits are available to U.S. employees as outlined.
