The vocational nurse provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Coordinator. The LVN applies clinical nursing knowledge and utilizes demonstrated skills to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. The LVN identifies priorities and makes judgments concerning basic needs of multiple patients to organize care.
ResponsibilitiesThe vocational nurse manages patient care in an assigned clinical area, including assessment, medication administration, wound care, and patient education, while coordinating with the healthcare team and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
Job Details- Job Title: Per Diem Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN I/II/III)
- Location: Atascocita (New Clinic Opening)
- Job Type: Per Diem
- Salary Range: $28.99 – $34.01 per hour (paid hourly; based on factors such as education, experience, certifications, etc.)
- Education: Graduate from an approved vocational nursing program.
- Experience:
- LVN I – 6 months in a clinical area (new grad may be considered with 6‑month supervision).
- LVN II – 4–8 years in a clinical area.
- LVN III – 9+ years in a clinical area.
- License: Current and valid Texas LVN license.
- Special
Skills:- Ability to use equipment and supplies for the assigned patient population.
- Computer and Windows‑based skills; EPIC experience preferred.
- Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification through American Heart Association.
