Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring floor and stock room readiness; responsible for opening back door for deliveries.
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Manage store keys and operate without management as necessary; coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
  • Register all sales on assigned cash register, including scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
  • Assist manager or assistant store manager with order exceptions, reverse logistics, display evaluation, promotions, and merchandise resets.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure correct pricing, signage, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities (cash reports, counts, ledgers, bill payments) and store maintenance requests.
  • Separate food items, rotate stock using first-in-first-out, and ensure proper product placement.
  • Assist in pharmacy processes and compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Conduct bag checks of team members before store closure and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Attend training and complete needed PPLs as requested by manager.
  • Serve as liaison between management and non-management team members, communicating tasks when store management is absent.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.
  • Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
