Base pay range$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring floor and stock room readiness; responsible for opening back door for deliveries.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Manage store keys and operate without management as necessary; coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes.
- Register all sales on assigned cash register, including scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
- Assist manager or assistant store manager with order exceptions, reverse logistics, display evaluation, promotions, and merchandise resets.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure correct pricing, signage, and compliance with local regulations.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities (cash reports, counts, ledgers, bill payments) and store maintenance requests.
- Separate food items, rotate stock using first-in-first-out, and ensure proper product placement.
- Assist in pharmacy processes and compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Conduct bag checks of team members before store closure and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Attend training and complete needed PPLs as requested by manager.
- Serve as liaison between management and non-management team members, communicating tasks when store management is absent.
- Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
