Randall Reed’s Planet Ford is seeking skilled and motivated medium, heavy-duty truck & equipment mobile service field technician. As a Mobile Service Field Technician, you will play a crucial role performing hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and providing excellent customer service in the field.



Job Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on medium and heavy-duty vehicles including heavy-duty equipment.
• Diagnose and repair issues in a timely and efficient manner. Perform preventative maintenance.
• Respond to service calls from customers in the designated service area.
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and implement effective solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on vehicles and equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Generate service reports and documentation for each job.
• Communicate effectively with manager and other team members regarding work status and customer interactions.
• Interact professionally with customers to understand their concerns and address inquiries.
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring satisfaction with completed repairs and maintenance
• Stay current with industry trends, product updates, and technological advancements.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards and codes of conduct.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years professional automotive repair experience.
• Proven experience as a Mobile Service Technician or similar role.
• Have effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to read/comprehend written instructions.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a high customer service mentality.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
• Willingness to travel within the designated service area.
• Must have a valid driver license, clean driving record and be able to operate manual transmissions
• All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing, background checks, and drug test.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ASE certifications or technical school is a plus.
