Humboldt Branch Librarian Position

Serve the Humboldt community as a Branch Librarian for Reid-Thompson Public Library. Manage library operations, support staff, and engage with local entities to enhance library services.

This position at Wapiti Regional Library requires a dynamic individual capable of overseeing all aspects of library service. You will work independently while promoting library programs and fostering relationships with the local board and community. Demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills is critical for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take meeting minutes and record decisions for local board

• Maintain efficient operations per the Wapiti Branch Manual

• Generate reports, statistics, and support budget development

• Promote library programs and events to local organizations

• Assist in staff training programs and other assigned duties

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade Twelve or G.E.D.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proven leadership and supervisory abilities

• Competency in clerical and bookkeeping tasks

• Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks required
