As a Deputy Fire Chief, you will play a pivotal role in incident command during emergencies and rescuing operations. The position oversees firefighter training and helps develop essential fire prevention and community risk reduction programs. You will manage departmental functions including policy development, budgeting, and compliance with fire regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead incident command during fires and emergencies
• Manage firefighter training programs and competencies
• Develop and implement fire prevention and education initiatives
• Oversee budgeting and asset management for the department
• Coordinate with regional partners for emergency preparedness
Requirements:
• Current membership in a Fire Department
• Level II Fire Certification and Level I Fire Instructor Certification
• Five years of supervisory experience in fire service
• Strong knowledge of firefighting practices and regulations
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
