Humboldt Housing Authority is looking for an independent, self-starter who enjoys working alone and amongst tenants for the position of Building Services Worker. If you are skilled in property maintenance, take pride in your work, are available to work up to 37.5 hours a week and participate in a rotating on-call system, we would like to hear from you!
As part of the Building Services team, you will work at various Housing Authority properties on:- Building maintenance - service & repair
- Vacancy preparation - ensuring units are ready to rent
- Grounds maintenance - snow removal, grass cutting
- Maintenance - of inventory and equipment
- Experience servicing and repairing building mechanical equipment
- A background in custodial and groundskeeping
- General knowledge of carpentry, boilers, plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical, and painting
- Effective communication skills
- Respect for safety and ability to follow Federal and Provincial OH&S Act and Regulations
- A service oriented, results focused attitude!
- Valid drivers license, reliable truck, and an ability to use hand tools
- Recognition of and respect for peoples diversity and individual differences
A satisfactory Criminal Record (Vulnerable Sector Check) is required upon hire.
