Textile Weaver and Knitting Machine Operator

Join a dynamic team to weave and knit textile fabrics using advanced machinery in a full-time, permanent role. This position involves operating various machines, ensuring quality, and performing maintenance checks.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up looms, operating knitting machines for garments, and managing multiple textile production machines. You’ll need to read and prepare loom patterns, inspect fabrics for defects, and troubleshoot mechanical issues. This hands-on job requires teamwork and an eye for detail to maintain production quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up looms and prepare pattern mechanisms

• Operate knitting and tufting machines efficiently

• Inspect fabrics for defects and verify operations

• Investigate stoppages and troubleshoot minor repairs

• Notify supervisors of mechanical malfunctions

Requirements:

• On-the-job training provided for several months

• Previous experience as a labourer may be required

• Ability to operate various textile machines

• Willingness to progress to supervisory roles

• 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred
