Overview

Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you’ll need to be successful.

• Inspire clients to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money, building relationships that grow stronger each year.
• Conduct tax interviews with clients in person and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for various client profiles.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and related tax services; note that certification levels determine the scope of services (e.g., audit representation for Circular 230 associates).
• Mentor and support teammates to promote a collaborative team environment.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools—video, phone and chat
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet all IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent (or higher)
