Maintenance Mechanical Engineer
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer for a top Industrial/Manufacturing client.
This experienced Project Engineer role requires strong hands‑on skills in executing mechanical, electrical, or automation projects, specifically leading the full lifecycle development and execution of capital expense (CAPEX) projects. The Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues with industrial equipment, supporting process optimization, and ensuring all work adheres to safety policies and industry standards in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Base pay range$95,000.00/yr - $/yr
Job Responsibilities- Manage the full CAPEX project lifecycle, ensuring execution aligns with established scope, schedule, and budget constraints
- Partner with operations leaders to identify, design, and implement technical and process improvements for existing equipment
- Troubleshoot complex issues with existing industrial and manufacturing equipment to reduce downtime and enhance reliability
- Prepare comprehensive technical studies and plans for CAPEX project proposals and submit documentation for investment approval
- Develop scope of work, preliminary implementation strategies, and technical bid packages for equipment procurement and fabrication
- Coordinate with operations teams on short‑ and long‑term project needs, prioritizing projects based on criticality and cost‑benefit analysis
- Design equipment, facilities, and process improvements, managing all associated drawings and technical documentation for projects
- Research and integrate new technologies and industry best practices while ensuring safety compliance and alignment with organizational PEX (productivity excellence) goals
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required
- Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of hands‑on industrial or manufacturing experience is required
- Proven ability to manage and execute complex projects is required
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and layout design is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and construction methods
- Process‑driven mindset with excellent leadership, communication, and technical presentation skills
