Field Payroll Clerk – What You'll Do- Organize and verify new/re‑hire paperwork prior to input, following up on missing documents.
- E‑Verify new/re‑hired employees.
- Scan and index new/re‑hire and current employee files/maintenance.
- Scan and index timecards; produce weekly error reports and correct entries.
- Mail direct deposit advices for weekly payrolls.
- Sort checks for local field areas.
- Enter employee maintenance changes (phone, address, W‑4).
- Prioritize and process all timecards from small field locations, completing the full payroll cycle.
- Assist with EDD processes and reports.
- Assist with VOEs.
- Assist with W‑2 reprint requests.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of billing‑related experience in a construction setting.
- Familiarity with accounting/billing, Cost‑Plus Billing preferred.
- Combination of education, training, and experience acceptable.
- 10‑key typing proficiency.
- Attention to detail; strong analytical skills favored.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Oracle preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Ability to work under time pressure with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Self‑motivation, proactivity, and teamwork.
- Professional interaction with all levels of staff, vendors, and clients.

Working Conditions- General work environment – sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending; primarily indoors with fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
