Accounting Manager

We are seeking a strategic Accounting Manager to lead an accounting operation for a dynamic manufacturing organization with multiple sites across North America. This role is critical in overseeing financial operations, supervising a team of accountants, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Key duties include managing the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow; preparing and analyzing financial statements and budgets; and ensuring compliance with tax regulations and GAAP

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making
• Monitor and maintain cost accounting systems, including inventory valuation and standard costing
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to align financial reporting with production metrics
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Support ERP system improvements & efficiencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing setting
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
