Patient Services Coordinator III – Cancer Clinic at Novant Health

Responsible for timely and accurate recording of patient demographics, insurance information, patient charges and collections. Scheduling patient appointments and cross‑training in multiple administrative support functions.

• Receive patients at check‑in and check‑out and ensure a welcoming, helpful experience during their visit.
• Verify insurance coverage and demographic information, and accurately enter all updates into EPIC.

• Foster an environment of teamwork, engagement, and community involvement.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of clerical experience in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical office software for updating patient demographic information, posting charges, copays, and scheduling appointments.
• Excellent verbal communication, organizational, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Ability to work with changing priorities and as part of a team.
• Confidentiality and initiative.
• Basic medical terminology and high level of working knowledge of EPIC.
• Detailed knowledge of multiple payor billing requirements and coding requirements for practice specialty.

• Proficiency in all computer software used in practice.
