Assist test engineering with acquiring and setting up new test equipmentSetup and perform manual testing based on applicable procedures and/or standardsAbility to communicate effectively between technicians, engineers, and outside equipment vendorsWilling to learn new technologies, equipment, and procedures through on-the-job trainingTest sample handling, labeling, and dispositionAbility to use common hand toolsExperience writing test procedures and equipment standard operating instructionsUnderstanding of equipment calibrationProficient with MS Office Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs and operate a pallet jackNice to Have Skills & Experience
Associate or Bachelor degree in a STEM major (chemistry preferred)Some experience in operating FTIR and DSC CalorimetersConsumer products industry experience preferredAbility to interpret test procedures and work with international testing standardsExperience working in a test performance labJob Description
Insight Global is looking for a candidate for one of our large consumer goods manufacturing companies. This person will set up and perform manual, automated, and materials/environmental performance testing on a full line of product lines based on applicable standards, while following strict timelines. Performance of these tests must be precise, with the monitoring of test controls, effective documentation, and communication of the results both verbally and with formal test reports.
This candidate will be expected to document equipment information, create work instructions to be used by the test technicians, and create a calibration schedule if needed. Some support will be required to conduct performance testing, lab organization, and disposal of testing samples.
