The Cutting Machine Operator 3rd plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by efficiently operating cutting machinery. This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that materials are cut according to exact specifications, minimizing waste and maintaining product standards. The operator will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining cutting equipment to optimize performance and safety. Collaboration with quality control and maintenance teams is essential to promptly address any issues and ensure continuous production flow.
Ultimately, this role contributes directly to meeting production targets and supporting the overall manufacturing objectives at the Huntersville, NC facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating cutting or similar manufacturing machinery.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret production orders, blueprints, or technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with computerized cutting machines or CNC equipment.
- Certification in machine operation or manufacturing safety.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues independently.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
- Operate and monitor cutting machines to process materials according to production schedules and specifications.
- Set up and adjust machinery settings to ensure accurate cuts and maintain product quality standards.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure safe operation.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or defects in materials to the maintenance or quality control teams.
- Maintain accurate production records and adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
The required skills enable the operator to efficiently set up and run cutting machines while ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. Attention to detail is crucial for identifying defects and maintaining product quality throughout the cutting process.
