Full-Time Mid-shift, 11a-11p Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
Atrium Health Huntersville Emergency Department, a facility of Atrium Health University City, delivers 24/7 emergency care to the Lake Norman community. Our team provides comprehensive treatment for patients of all ages, from minor injuries to life‑threatening emergencies, including heart attacks, strokes, and trauma cases. The department features board‑certified emergency medicine physicians and a highly engaged nursing team that fosters collaboration, professional growth, and evidence‑based practice.
As a family‑centered emergency department with a strong pediatric focus, we work closely with Levine Children’s Hospital Emergency Department to ensure seamless, high‑quality care for our youngest patients. The department includes 11 treatment beds, 1 trauma room, 2 triage bays, and 4‑6 vertical care spaces, creating a fast‑paced environment where nurses can make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day.

The Huntersville Emergency Department cares for both pediatric and adult patients, with an emphasis on pediatric services. This role is well suited for nurses with pediatric experience who are interested in working within a mixed‑population emergency department and delivering family‑centered care to children while also supporting adult patients as needed.
We’re Looking For:- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
