CEIS | Rayne is currently looking for several Nuclear Quality Managers to serve one of our top clients.
As the Project Quality Manager, you will oversee and enforce the implementation of all quality management activities in compliance with NRC regulations and corporate quality procedures. You will ensure QA/QC programs are robust, efficient, and focused on first‑time quality across all facets of work.
Required Qualifications- ASME R Stamp
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality‑related field + 5 years in the nuclear or federal nuclear sector OR
- Associate’s degree in a technical field + 10 years of QA experience in the nuclear industry OR 15+ years of construction or nuclear industry experience, with 5+ years in a QA/QC or NDE role.
- Experience in mechanical, civil/structural, welding inspection, NDE, and material receipt inspections.
- Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards, including:
- 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21
- ASME BPVC (Sections VIII, IX), AWS D1.1
- ASME B31.1, ASME NQA-1
- Familiarity with Columbia Generating Station‑specific QA processes or Energy Northwest is a strong asset.
- ASME NQA‑1 Nuclear Lead Auditor Certification is preferred.
- Develop and implement project/site‑specific Quality Plans and procedures.
- Ensure all QA/QC activities meet regulatory, code, jurisdictional, customer, and corporate requirements.
- Lead and supervise all site Quality Assurance and Control personnel.
- Interface with representatives, NRC/regulatory authorities, vendors, and subcontractors on QA matters.
- Coordinate quality audits (internal, external, and regulatory) and respond to findings with effective corrective actions.
- Manage quality‑related aspects of fabrication, construction, installation, and testing activities.
- Provide quality‑related training to site personnel and ensure qualifications are current.
- Travel to vendor/supplier locations as needed for QA oversight and support.
- Support welding oversight, materials traceability, receipt inspections, and documentation management.
- Assist with constructability evaluations and development of construction work packages.
- Maintain and report on quality performance metrics and documentation systems (NCRs, CARs, QA logs).
Location:
Charlotte, NC
Compensation: $80,000 - $115,000
