Most Management Accountant roles start and stop at the trial balance. This one doesn't.
You'll take full ownership of the accounting process through to a clean, reconciled trial balance for a manufacturing group's UK entities - journals, reconciliations, stock and WIP, intercompany, control accounts - before handing over to the Financial Controller for consolidation and reporting.
Along the way you'll pick up genuine variety: covering payroll when it's needed, keeping on top of customs and import VAT records for a business that imports and exports, and getting properly involved in manufacturing accounting - standard costs, overhead absorption, WIP valuation. If you like knowing why the numbers move, not just where they sit, there's plenty here to get your teeth into.
You'll work on SAP Business One, support the wider finance team without duplicating transactional work already covered elsewhere, and report to a UK Financial Controller who wants a safe pair of hands on the detail so they can focus upstream.
What you'll need:- Part-qualified, finalist or qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA (or qualified by experience)
- Proven month-end ownership through to trial balance, including stock/WIP and balance sheet recs
- Comfortable with an ERP system - SAP Business One experience is a genuine plus
- A manufacturing or production background helps, but isn't essential
