Reporting to: Streetworks / Team Manager
We are seeking an organised and proactive Streetworks Scheduler to support the Winter Readiness Project
.
You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling street works and highways activities, ensuring that works are properly planned, resources are available, and contractors and traffic management arrangements are in place.
The role involves working closely with contractors, traffic management companies, internal teams and other stakeholders to ensure works are delivered efficiently and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and coordinate street works and highways activities.
- Coordinate work programmes and Whereabouts to ensure teams, resources and equipment are available.
- Liaise with contractors, traffic management companies, clients and internal teams.
- Manage and monitor street works permits, notices and associated documentation.
- Monitor planned and ongoing works and identify potential delays, clashes or issues.
- Coordinate traffic management requirements ahead of works commencing.
- Communicate schedule changes and ensure all relevant parties are kept informed.
- Maintain accurate records of works, permits, schedules and communications.
- Assist with resolving scheduling and operational issues.
- Work closely with site teams to ensure works are planned and delivered efficiently.
- Keep relevant systems and databases accurate and up to date.
- Support the management team with reporting, updates and general administration.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating or scheduling multiple activities and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to deal with contractors and internal teams.
- The ability to identify and resolve scheduling issues proactively.
Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment. - Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
. - The ability to maintain accurate records and work to deadlines.
Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- Streetworks or highways scheduling.
- Streetworks permitting and coordination.
- Local authority or highway authority environments.
- Traffic management.
- Utilities or civil engineering.
- Highways maintenance or construction.
- Streetworks management or permitting systems.
- Knowledge of NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) and associated requirements.
Relevant NRSWA/Streetworks qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential, as training may be provided for the right candidate.
