Roofing & Cladding Estimator
Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Company Car & Package
Type: Permanent
Our client is looking for an experienced Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join their team based at their Huntingdon office. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with a strong background in roofing, cladding, façades or the wider building envelope sector to join an established and highly regarded business.
You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of roofing and cladding projects, working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams throughout the tender process.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates and tenders for roofing and cladding projects
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Carry out accurate material and labour take-offs
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identify project risks, exclusions and commercial opportunities
- Liaise with clients and contractors throughout the tender process
- Produce clear and accurate tender submissions
- Work closely with design, commercial and project teams
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and tender information
- Assist with the handover of successful projects to the delivery team
- Previous experience as an Estimator within roofing, cladding, façades or a related construction environment
- Strong understanding of roofing and/or cladding systems and installation methods
- Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings
- Experience preparing detailed tenders and cost estimates
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software
- Full UK driving licence
- £45,000 - £55,000 salary
