Role: Automation Service Engineer

Location: St Ives – with field based work

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience

As part of our continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Service Engineer to support installations, commissioning, and aftersales service activities across the UK.

This position suits a technically capable individual who takes pride in delivering high standards of workmanship and building strong customer relationships. You will represent the company on-site, ensuring equipment is installed, maintained, and supported to the highest professional standard.

• Installation, commissioning, and servicing of packaging and automation equipment
• Fault finding and diagnostics across electrical and pneumatic systems
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and control panel layouts
• Supporting customers with technical troubleshooting both remotely and on-site
• Ensuring compliance with industry and safety standards
• Delivering a professional and customer-focused service experience

• Experience working with packaging machinery, automated handling systems, or conveyor equipment
• Confidence working from electrical drawings and control cabinet schematics
• Working knowledge of sensors, pneumatics, and automation components
• Strong practical ability with a hands‑on engineering mindset
• A structured and organised approach to tasks
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
• A proactive, solutions‑oriented attitude
• Strong communication skills and a professional manner
• Good written and spoken English
