Application Support Specialist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive Application Support Specialist to join a well-established, multi-site organisation. The Application Support Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the stability, performance and continuous improvement of key business systems.
Working within a collaborative IT team, the Application Support Specialist will provide high-quality day-to-day support while contributing to system upgrades, enhancements and improvement projects. This permanent Application Support Specialist role offers hybrid working and the chance to make a real impact within a structured, forward-thinking environment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day support for core business applications and Microsoft 365 platforms
* Diagnose and resolve system issues with clear user communication
* Support system upgrades, maintenance and configuration tasks
* Assist with testing updates and coordinate user acceptance testing
* Investigate recurring issues and recommend improvements
* Liaise with third-party vendors where required
* Perform initial checks on integrations and escalate where necessary
* Deliver user training and create clear support documentation
* Ensure appropriate access controls and governance standards are maintained
Skills/
Experience:
* Experience in an Application Support Specialist, Systems Support or Technical Analyst role
* Strong knowledge of business systems and Microsoft 365
* Analytical problem-solving skills with a practical approach
* Excellent stakeholder communication skills
* Process-driven with strong documentation abilities
* Exposure to integrations, testing processes or reporting tools (desirable)
* ITIL Foundation or similar (desirable)
