The primary purpose of this role is to follow established processes that support efficient application development through the timely preparation of suitable application development subsystems. The role ensures that high‑quality and reliable inkjet subsystems are delivered to support customer projects, R&D activities, and production workflows.
The secondary purpose of this role is to support efficient application development by undertaking ancillary supportive tasks, such as maintaining consumables inventory, or undertaking short‑term assignments to adjacent disciplines, such as Ink Physicals (upstream) and Product Validation (downstream), which relieve bottlenecks that would otherwise impact Application Development throughput.

- Execute routine preparation tasks following established instructions.
- Prepare application development components and subsystems to defined specifications.
- Maintain accurate test, maintenance and performance records.
- Operate designated tools and equipment under guidance.
- Support smooth workflow by completing ancillary routine tasks within defined timescales.
- Escalate deviations, uncertainties, or issues appropriately.
- Learning and consistently following detailed procedures.
- Consistently managing repetitive, routine tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Building foundational understanding of the overall workflow.
- Understanding causational linkages between system configuration and performance requirements.
- Methodical approach, with consistent attention to detail
- Good communication skills within the Development Team
- Effective team contributor
- Ability to follow defined processes and appropriately escalation issues
- Ability to accurately gather and present data in different formats
- Excellent time planning skills to meet dynamic deadlines
- STEM education at least to A-Level standard or equivalent (Essential)
- Good command of English (Essential)
- Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Essential)
- Experience following Standard Operating Procedures (Essential)
- Experience of the inkjet industry (Preferable)
- Experience of Safe Systems of Work (Preferable)
- Experience working in a laboratory environment (Preferable)
