- Operate manual centre lathes and milling machines to manufacture and repair hydraulic components.
- Set up machinery and prepare materials for machining operations.
- Produce high-quality components to customer specifications and samples.
- Work accurately to tight tolerances while maintaining attention to detail.
- Cut and prepare raw materials using workshop equipment.
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and general workshop duties.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Work efficiently to meet customer deadlines while upholding Hydraquip's high standards of service and workmanship.
- Experience operating manual centre lathes and milling machines.
- General machine shop experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Experience working with hydraulic cylinders, rods, and tubes.
- Experience repairing or manufacturing hydraulic components.
- Knowledge of hydraulic engineering or fluid power systems.
- Experience reproducing components from customer samples.
- Familiarity with machine maintenance and workshop best practices.
