Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Assessment Team in Huntingdon with Cambridgeshire County Council.

Pay Rate: £39 per hour

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Assessment Team in Huntingdon. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will play a key part in safeguarding children and supporting families at the point of referral and assessment.

Working within statutory frameworks, you will complete timely and high-quality assessments to ensure children receive the right support and protection when they need it most.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
Complete Child & Family Assessments within statutory timescales.
Carry out home visits and direct work with children and families.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure effective safeguarding outcomes.
Prepare clear, analytical reports and attend court where required.
Manage a varied caseload in line with legislation and local procedures.

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

Experience with in a Children's Assessment or Duty Team.
Strong safeguarding knowledge and assessment skills.
Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Excellent report writing and analytical skills.

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent

* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services

* Social Work England Registration

* Driving license and access to own vehicle
