Position SummaryThe Plant Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate costing, accounting records, and reporting to support plant operations and corporate initiatives.
What You’ll Do- Maintain accurate costing and accounting records for plant operations, including labor, inventory, and materials.
- Safeguard plant assets and ensure internal controls over purchasing, receiving, and invoicing.
- Manage Plex standard cost system and review daily transactions for parts, labor, and margins.
- Track scrap, labor, and machine data, ensuring timely reporting and accurate financial records.
- Process customer invoices and assist with commission reporting.
- Support monthly financial reporting, year-end audits, and business plan submissions in partnership with the Group Controller.
- Collaborate with divisional management on operational initiatives and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
- Maintain organized records and safeguard essential costing systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, GAAP, and business operations.
- Skilled in accounting systems, ERP basics, and advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
