Corporate Staff Accountant

The Corporate Staff Accountant is responsible for month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records across 7 Leaves Cafe's corporate and multi-entity operations. This role partners with the Controller to ensure timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and audit-ready accounting records.

• Balance Sheet Reconciliations:
  Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
• Month-End Close:
  Prepare journal entries, accruals, amortization, depreciation, and reclassifications while ensuring timely close completion.
• General Ledger:
  Maintain accurate GL records, review transactions, and ensure proper coding across stores, departments, and entities.
• Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations:
  Reconcile operating accounts and credit card transactions, resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Multi-Entity Accounting:
  Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and month-end eliminations.
• Financial Reporting:
  Support financial statements, P&L reporting, variance analysis, and year-end audits.
• Internal Controls:
  Maintain accurate documentation, support compliance, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is a plus.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-location or multi-entity environment.
• Experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Sage Intacct.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, variance analysis, and reconciliation workbooks.
• Experience in restaurant, hospitality, or food & beverage accounting.
• Experience with intercompany accounting, consolidations, or audit preparation.
