Job SummaryThe Project Engineer is responsible for engineering and scheduling the program, including drawing lists and certification of deliverables. The role coordinates project completion, resolves issues, and oversees Design Engineers to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The Engineer guarantees that all project elements meet timelines, budgets, and regulations.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure completion on time, on budget, and in compliance with regulations.
- Provide technical input to program management for the creation of the project schedule, including sequencing of elements and time estimates.
- Perform technical analysis and reviews of specifications and product design to develop cost and time estimates.
- Monitor project progress and recommend schedule changes based on re‑prioritization, material availability, and evolving customer needs.
- Assess impacts of customer changes on time, cost, materials, and processes.
- Identify necessary tests during the engineering process and monitor their completion (functionality, durability, safety).
- Provide regular verbal or written updates based on KPIs and project status, analyzing data and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor Design Engineers’ work for accuracy and technical competence; provide feedback as needed.
- Develop and maintain a standard list of notes for use on 2D engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with management and sales teams to review project proposals, identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of company information and products.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Level I: 0‑2 years of engineering experience.
- Level II: 2‑5 years of engineering experience.
- Level III: 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lead a team across multiple disciplines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Expert level experience with CATIA V5.
- Ability to communicate and present to various stakeholders (e.g., customers, OEM).
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- MS Project.
- PLM system knowledge.
- AutoCAD familiarity.
- May be required to work extended or irregular hours as necessary.
- Must be able to legally work in the United States.

Oversees the work of others, assists in training and coaching project team members, and supports key project initiatives.
Compensation & BenefitsBase pay ranges from $90,000 to $130,000 annually, adjusted for job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience.
