Personal Care Assistants HCA

Senior Helpers Northern Orange County is looking for an experienced caregiver with experience in Cypress, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Long Beach, and Seal Beach.

• Saturday and Sunday 9am-7pm, female client Seal Beach
• Tuesday 9am-4pm, female client Seal Beach mainly driving
• Saturday 9:30am-5:30pm, Sunday 1pm-9pm, female client Cerritos
• Saturday 5:30am-11am, female client Cerritos
• Tues, Wed, Thurs 9am-3pm, male client Garden Grove

• Experience transferring clients between locations using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Experience using a Hoyer lift and gate belt.
• Experience assisting clients with personal hygiene tasks, including sponge baths, bathing, toileting, grooming, etc.
• Experience assisting clients with incontinence care and bedridden care.
• Willing to attend training regarding Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Training in all the mentioned categories is preferred.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships.
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (walks, gardening, games, etc.).
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy.
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living.
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.
