Position Overview
A machine operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in the manufacturing process. Machine operators work on an individual and team basis. They deliver consistent work and report accurate information on a timely basis. To be successful in this position, the individual must be able to produce timely and high-quality output within the company quality and production run standards, maintain a standard level of productivity and quality output, and be committed to continuous improvement.
Basepay range
$20.00/hr - $24.00/hr
Responsibilities- Prepare machinery for operation by performing routine maintenance tasks and safety checks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular in-process inspections to ensure quality control standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary adjustments to fix issues that arise during production.
- Record data such as production numbers, machine settings, and product quality data.
- Follow safety protocols and use PPE to maintain a safe working environment.
- Consistently meet production requirements and maintain a safe, clean work area.
- Follow company rules and guidelines; comply with cross-training and other training requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understand manufacturing processes, be mechanically inclined, and have strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions; work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for standing and repetitive tasks.
- Ability to speak and read English effectively; read gauges and record measurements.
- Ability to read safety rules, MSDS, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
- Ability to stand for an 8–10-hour shift.
- Prior experience preferred, but not required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; strong time management.

- Complete other duties/projects as required and/or assigned.
- Must be able to learn and manufacture high-quality output and meet minimum production requirements, and follow all work instructions accurately within the training period.
- Must be able to learn all manufacturing units and be willing to train others as needed.
