Machine Operator - 3rd - Conforming

Base Pay Range: $20.00/hr - $24.00/hr

A machine operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in the manufacturing process. Machine operators work both individually and as part of a team, delivering consistent work and reporting accurate information on a timely basis. To be successful, the individual must produce timely and high‑quality output within company quality and production run standards, display a standard level of productivity and quality output, and be committed to continuous improvement.

• Prepare machinery for operation by performing routine maintenance tasks and conducting safety checks to ensure that the equipment is in good working condition.
• Set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure they produce products that meet quality standards.
• Conduct regular in‑process inspections to ensure quality control standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary adjustments to fix any issues that arise during the production process.
• Record data such as production numbers, machine settings, and product quality data.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to proper use of PPE to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and other employees.
• Consistently meet production requirements.
• Work safely and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow company rules and guidelines.
• Comply with cross‑training and other training requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Physical stamina and dexterity are important, as the job involves standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to speak and read English effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret gauges and record measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, MSDS, operating and maintenance instructions, and relevant manuals.
• Ability to stand for an 8–10‑hour shift.
• Prior experience preferred, but not required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management capabilities.

• Must be able to learn and manufacture high‑quality output and meet minimum production requirements and perform all relative work instructions accurately within the training period.
• Must be able to learn all manufacturing units, and be willing to train others as needed.
