We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our multi‑specialty clinic in Huntington Beach. As a Clinical Nurse you will be assisting multiple providers in care coordination, providing patient education, triaging, following up on orders, and supporting practice providers. The Clinical Nurse works within a multidisciplinary care team delivering exceptional care and will make a significant impact on our patients' cancer journey.
Our clinic has 14 exam rooms and 2 procedure rooms. This is a Monday‑Friday position, 5‑8 hour shifts.
- Coordinate and provide age‑appropriate, patient centered care in an oncology and multi‑specialty clinic: (endocrinology, pain management, integrative medicine, gastroenterology, cardiology, acupuncture, and survivorship)
- Collaborate with oncology specialists and other multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust treatment plans based on the patient’s progress and needs.
- Perform pre‑procedure phone calls for appointments
- Triage patient concerns via telephone and inbox messages using established protocols by documenting all encounters with EMR
- Promote wellness and prevention strategies to oncology patients, ensuring they are equipped with knowledge about self‑care and survivorship.
- Facilitate prescription refills according to refill protocols, utilizing electronic prescriptions.
- Assist patients navigate survivorship care, by providing education and resources to patients and families.
- Uses evidence‑based practice and best available research to inform practice.
- Enhances professional growth and development.
- Participates in unit‑based projects and activities, staff meetings, councils, work teams.
- Reviews current literature attends educational programs, workshops, and in‑services.
- Actively participates in shared decision‑making / participative leadership through councils, committees, work teams, task forces, and unit‑based practice councils.
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in nursing is required.
- One ‑ two years related experience or after successful completion of role of Clinical Nurse I. (typically for 12 months)
- Current Registered Nurse license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
