• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front‑office personnel.
• Perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills, including preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying and broiling.
• Prepare sushi dishes using proper techniques and recipe knowledge.
• Operate multiple stations in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Stand for long periods of time, work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Good communication skills.
• Basic sushi preparation and recipe knowledge.
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred.
• California Food Handlers certification required.
• Ability to work multiple stations in the kitchen.
• True desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
