Daxer Tool is an industrial distributor located in Huntington Beach, California
, serving CNC machine shops and manufacturers throughout Southern California.

We specialize in cutting tools, work holding, abrasives, measuring tools, coolants and lubricants, bandsaw products, safety products, and other machine-shop and manufacturing supplies.

We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative who is smart, technically curious, responsive, organized, and motivated to build strong customer relationships.

This is not a call-center or high-pressure cold-calling position
. You will work directly with customers, manufacturers, suppliers, and our sales team to solve problems, source products, prepare quotes, process orders, and develop sales opportunities.

Experience in cutting tools or manufacturing is a major advantage, but we are willing to train the right person.

• Respond to customer calls and emails
• Handle RFQs and product inquiries
• Prepare customer quotes
• Follow up on open quotes and sales opportunities
• Help customers identify the products they need
• Research products and manufacturers
• Check pricing, inventory, and availability
• Recommend alternative products when appropriate
• Process customer orders
• Follow up on open orders and backorders
• Communicate with manufacturers and suppliers
• Develop relationships with existing customers
• Identify opportunities to expand sales within customer accounts
• Provide fast, professional customer service

Our customers are manufacturing companies, so many requests require more than simply looking up a part number.

We want someone who is willing to understand the customer's problem, research the options, and help find the solution.

• Find tooling for a particular machining application
• Cross-reference products between manufacturers
• Find replacements for discontinued products
• Find alternatives when a product is unavailable or has a long lead time
• Compare tooling based on dimensions and specifications
• Source difficult-to-find industrial products
• Identify multiple options from different manufacturers
• Help determine which product best fits an application

Experience with CNC machining, cutting tools, or industrial distribution is extremely valuable, but curiosity, intelligence, resourcefulness, and the willingness to learn are just as important.

You will use our Epicor Prophet 21 ERP system for day-to-day sales and order management.

• Creating quotes
• Entering and processing sales orders
• Checking inventory
• Reviewing customer pricing
• Reviewing costs and margins
• Creating and maintaining product information
• Tracking open orders and backorders
• Assisting with purchasing and supplier follow-up
• Communicating order status to customers

Prior Prophet 21 experience is helpful but not required.

Experience with another ERP, inventory, order-management, or distribution system is also valuable.
