Half Hollow Hills Food Services Department is seeking candidates for various food service worker positions in our schools for the following hours: 6:00am - 1:30pm; 9:00am - 2:00pm; 9:30am - 1:30pm.

• Assist in preparation of food
• Serve food
• Continuously clean work areas
• Follow directives of Cook Manager and/or Lead Food Service Worker
• Effective and appropriate communication with students and staff
• Cashiering and daily cash register reconciliation
• Must be able to step into any position/area in the kitchen if needed
• Must be willing to perform all aspects of food service
• Must be willing to travel within the district to another building if needed

• Ability to stand and move on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to lift/move food cases weighing up to 40 pounds
• Work with exposure to varying temperatures (ie: ovens and freezers)
• Must be able to speak and understand English to ensure clear communication with students and staff, to provide safe and effective service in the school cafeteria
• Must participate in ongoing training required by FNS/USDA Professional Standards
