Apex Rehab and care is a 195 Bed long term and short term facility. Part‑time cook needed weekends a must.

At the present time we are looking for a talented, creative and experienced Cook for FT and PT positions to work in the Food Services area of a very busy, fast‑paced kitchen within our facility.

Schedule Includes Every Other Weekend And During The Week

Additional responsibilities include:

• Helping to prepare food for the next meal service to include chopping, measuring and mixing ingredients according to established recipes
• Ensure all procedures are conducted following required Health Department and Company regulations
• Check all food temperatures prior to meal service
• Garnish all plates before they leave the kitchen area and have serve safe.

The ideal person will have experience in a busy kitchen or food preparation area

• Minimum of 2 years experience in food handling and preparation, sanitation and safety standards for institutions and/or restaurants
• Culinary or cooking school experience/courses preferred; minimum of a High School degree
• Must be able to operate in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent ability to prioritize, deliver top‑notch customer service and multitask in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with minimal supervision
• Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards set out by management
