Elementary Teacher’s Aide Job Posting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications required and must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Report to the classroom teacher.
• Assist with small groups of children as an extension of classroom lessons.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
• Assist the teacher with daily activities, including:
• Preparing and setting up activities.
• Implementing parts of the daily program/lessons as directed.
• Maintaining an organized classroom, storage, and playground.
• Attending field trips.
• Performing recess or lunch duties as assigned by the principal.
• Participate in staff meetings at least four times per year.
• Familiarity with state supervision regulations.
• Knowledge of Huntington Catholic School policies.
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
