2nd Shift Welder

Pay & Hours
  • Pay: $22 – $25 per hour (depending on experience) + 10% shift premium
  • Shift: 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday – Thursday
  • Overtime is optional, never mandatory

Training

Training lasts approximately six weeks on‑the‑job. Training shift runs Monday – Friday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Upon successful completion, you will be assigned to our 2nd shift.

Responsibilities
  • MIG/TIG weld, and other fabrication processes to complete projects.
  • Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, and written specifications to ensure components meet customer requirements.
  • Measure, square, and assemble weldments during production.
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment for different material types and thicknesses to achieve strong, clean welds.
  • Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality, identifying and correcting defects as needed.
  • Build components ranging from small parts to medium‑sized assemblies.
Qualifications
  • 1‑3 years of previous welding experience, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with MIG and TIG welding processes.
  • Ability to work with blueprints and written specifications to fabricate components, visualizing the final assembled product before starting the weld process.
  • Experience with Galvanneal, proficient in steel and aluminum MIG, competency in TIG welding preferred, stainless MIG/TIG a plus.
  • Previous experience using critical horizontal, uphill, downhill, and overhead welds.
  • Experience using cutting torch and plasma cutter preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator.
  • Required to pass a G1 weld test.
  • Must perform within established company standards, including standard operating procedures, attendance, quality, and performance.
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.
