Job Overview

Visions Design-Builder is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on General Project Superintendent to lead a high-end commercial remodeling and addition project in East Hampton, NY. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned construction professional with deep carpentry expertise and a proven track record managing complex residential and commercial renovation projects. You'll be the primary on-site leader, overseeing field operations and coordinating closely with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to deliver a premium-quality build safely, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization to closeout
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and MEP trades to maintain schedule and quality
• Ensure jobsite safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency at all times
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager on scheduling, logistics, and daily planning
• Review construction documents and enforce specifications and design intent
• Conduct daily site walks, coordinate inspections, and resolve field issues as they arise
• Manage material deliveries, vendor coordination, and inventory tracking
• Represent the general contractor on-site with professionalism and authority
• Maintain regular communication with clients, architects, and internal teams

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on carpentry experience (rough framing through finish)
• 10+ years as a General Superintendent in remodeling and additions
• Strong background in both residential and commercial construction, especially in occupied or active sites
• Deep knowledge of subcontractor coordination and mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
• Familiarity with NY building codes, jobsite safety regulations, and local permitting
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
