Are you a dynamic and innovative library professional looking to make a real impact? Marshall University is seeking a passionate and skilled Electronic Resource and Systems Librarian to join our team. This role supports library operations by ensuring seamless access to digital resource systems, playing a key role in supporting the university’s academic mission.
What You’ll Do- Provide leadership in aspects of electronic resources and systems.
- Contribute innovative ideas and make strategic decisions based on academic program needs.
- Manage electronic resources including databases, e-books, and online journals.
- Troubleshoot access issues and coordinate with IT or vendors to resolve problems.
- Coordinate trials for new electronic resources in collaboration with other library staff.
- Extract, analyze, and report data from library systems to support decision-making.
- Manage and administer the integrated library system (ILS), including modules for cataloging, acquisitions, and ERM.
- Perform routine system updates, backups, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate the implementation of new software or system upgrades.
- Participate in campus and university committees.
