Job Description

The Speech & Hearing Clinic in the Communication Disorders Department at Marshall University invites applications for a 12‑month non‑tenure‑track Clinical Assistant Professor–Early Interventionist. This non‑tenure‑track position will provide therapy to deaf and hard‑of‑hearing infants and toddlers through school‑age children and their parents. Responsibilities include delivering listening and spoken language services through West Virginia Birth to Three in and around Kanawha County, contract services for Kanawha County Schools, and outpatient listening and spoken language intervention at Marshall University’s South Charleston campus.

Additional responsibilities include support for student observations and experiences.

Required Education – The successful candidate must hold a master’s degree in Deaf Education, Speech‑Language Pathology, or a related field.

Required Experience – The candidate must have credentials to qualify and be willing to pursue certification as a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS) as an AVT or AVEd.
