Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Infection Preventionist within our Medical Affairs department.
The Infection Preventionist is responsible for developing and implementing practices to improve patient care through infection surveillance and prevention activities. Surveillance activities will be based on culture results, literature trends, community data, and hospital-identified issues. Prevention activities aim to prevent the spread of organisms within the hospital to patients, staff, medical personnel, volunteers, students, and visitors. The Infection Preventionist shall collaborate with the patient care team to ensure compliance with infection prevention principles.
