Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time CT Specials Technologist to work in our Cat Scan Department.
The CT Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all CT activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Byrd Clinical Center. Responsibilities include ensuring the quality of services, confirming orders, documenting medical necessity and pre-authorization, and providing radiological care for diagnosis and treatment of disorders. Operates CT units to perform diagnostic procedures as directed.
Position Responsibilities- Performs venipuncture and administers IV contrast as required.
- Reviews lab results (BUN/Creatinine and GFR) to assess renal function.
- Follows physician instructions, prepares radiography equipment, positions patients, and obtains optimal images.
- Adjusts equipment settings for optimal density, detail, and contrast.
- Positions patients and assists radiologists with biopsies or drainage procedures.
- Reviews images to ensure quality and completeness.
- Operates 3D lab software for cardiac and vascular imaging.
- Participates in rotating call assignments for 24-hour coverage and coordinates scheduling with other departments.
Candidates must have ARRT certification, WV Medical Imaging license, and CPR certification. CT Certification is preferred. One year of experience is preferred.
