Overview

The System Training Analyst is responsible for training clinicians on proper use of the clinical information systems used to document patient care. This includes transitioning programs from paper-based documentation to electronic systems, providing ongoing documentation support and new user training. The System Training Analyst works closely with the EMR Education Coordinator to deliver high-quality training and materials aligned with value-based care.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and continuously update training materials for various training sessions (Orientation, Advanced, Refresher classes, Helpful Hints, Frequently Asked Questions).
  • Ensure EMR workflow and training are geared toward providing value-based care.
  • Conduct general training sessions with new and current users as needed.
  • Create schedules of training courses and conduct those trainings to increase all departments  use and satisfaction in the EHR.
  • Assist in system administration development and customization.
  • Maintain knowledge of standard configurations.
  • Conduct observations of users to identify areas for improvement and suggest workflow redesign.
  • Create a recurring schedule to ensure all departments in all facilities work with the EHR.
  • Work closely with the EMR Education Coordinator to establish training schedules across all entities.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Identify potential issues and participate in their resolution.
  • Answer support calls respectfully and log tickets promptly to track and audit customer issues.
  • Provide immediate troubleshooting assistance to ensure continued efficient operation of the systems.
  • Demonstrate patience when working with customers for support.
  • Work independently under general direction of supervisor.
  • Act as liaison between IT, operations, and software vendors regarding software product issues.
  • Attend meetings to help learn and support customer needs.
  • Communicate clearly to aid in customer understanding of system functionality.
  • Log enhancements or requests for specialized queries as needed by nurse managers.
  • Use positive language to create positive perceptions about the company, software, and service.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor when dealing with frustrated customers and strive for service excellence.
  • Maintain good time management for processes and projects and be transparent.
  • Document issue resolution and share learnings with peers for improved support.
  • Seek continuous service improvement rather than accepting the status quo.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
