EHS Manager job at Talent Consultants. Huntington, WV.

Talent Consultants is seeking an experienced EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager to ensure that our client operates in compliance with all regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and oversee environmental health and safety programs across the organization, working closely with various departments to foster a proactive EHS culture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EHS regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead training initiatives that promote safety awareness. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Compile and analyze EHS data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management to develop risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate and participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting and compliance.
  • Stay updated on emerging EHS regulations and best practices to maintain compliance and improve workplace safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management or a related role.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
  • Experience conducting training sessions and developing EHS programs.
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or similar certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in EHS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
